Criminal Convictions (Clean Slate Act)
As part of the recruitment process for ASB Bank, we are required to ask all applicants about criminal convictions. Under the Criminal Records (Clean Slate) Act 2004, you are not required to disclose convictions that qualify for clean slate status. However, you must disclose any convictions that do not qualify, including any convictions for which you received a custodial sentence, or any convictions within the last 7 years.
Having a criminal conviction does not automatically disqualify you from employment. Each case is considered on its merits in relation to the role.
